Jason and Stacy Hanaway have been home schooling for the last four years and have two boys, one in third grade and one in first grade. They live on a small farm in LaGrange County where they raise primarily chickens to sell eggs. However, they also have some steers, horses, pigs, and rabbits. They also own a greenhouse business where they sell vegetables, flowers and perennials. Agriculture is an important part of their home schooling since Stacy was raised on a dairy farm and Jason’s family is also involved in agriculture. Because of this, they are also very involved with 4-H.
They are also involved
in sports and church activities. They
coach baseball and soccer at the local level, as well as organize and run Kids
Klub, the church band and choir as well as the youth choir at their
church. Jason, Stacy, and the boys like
to stay active. They feel so blessed
that God has given them so many opportunities to work with the youth and adults
in their area and share His Good News with others through these experiences.
Jason is a Highway Design Engineer for INDOT, while Stacy has
moved from teaching in a parochial school, then to public school, to now home school, which by far
her favorite place to teach. She enjoys
the freedom that home school gives her in her children’s educational
experiences as well as the wonderful people she has gotten to know through home
schooling.
Jason and Stacy are both very excited to serve as Region 2
Representatives and are eager to see what all God has in store for them in this
new and exciting adventure. They can’t
wait to meet all of you and serve you to the best of their ability. Together, thru God, they want to help make
home schooling an awesome experience for all that would chose this life
changing experience!
