One Soldier's Story DVD

Millions of young Americans went off to war in the 1940s. Wesley Biddle Notgrass (1915-2007) was one of them. Born and reared in Columbia, Tennessee, Wesley served in the U.S. Army for four years, one month, and seven days in the United States, England, France, Belgium, and Germany. In this dramatic presentation, Wesley's grandson John Notgrass tells Wesley's story wearing his uniform and using his photographs. Happy Land CD
Happy Land:  Musical Tributes to Laura Ingalls Wilder was released 2005, and is a representative sample of music from across the books.  In 2007 it was honored by the National Endowment for the Humanities with a place on the “We the People Bookshelf,” the first CD ever included in this prestigious program. Happy Land is the first in a series of musical tributes to Wilder (1867-1957) for her efforts to illuminate, explain, and capture the place that music-making once occupied in the family life of ordinary Americans.

Today is the day! 

It's our very first IAHE Facebook party. If you've been following along this week you know we're capping off our online registrations for the 2013 Home Educators' Convention. Thanks to the support of our generous donors we're giving away over $700 in door prizes!


Tonight, we'll be chatting on our Facebook page starting at 7:00 pm with our very special guests Jay Wile and Kathie Morrisey. Jay Wile is the author of the award-winning "Exploring Creation with" series of junior-high and high-school science courses. Kathie Morrissey is the owner of the Character Corner (formerly the Courtship Connection). Both will be available to chat and answer your questions about homeschooling. We'll also have our own IAHE volunteers ready to chat about the convention.
